Thanks for visiting! I am an award-winning writer and editor, passionate about helping others tell compelling stories. My work has spurred community conversations, enriched the legacies of organizations, and was selected as notable in Best American Essays 2018.

Through my eight years of teaching business and research writing courses at DePaul University and Eastern Michigan University, I honed my editing eye and knowledge of APA, MLA and Chicago styles.

My most recent editing roles have focused on a wide range of nonfiction: books on leadership, long form essays on philosophy and history as well as qualitative research reports and higher education curriculum.

A seasoned creative writer and journalist, my poetry and nonfiction appears in Canary,  Diode, Dunes Review, Grist: A Journal of the Literary Arts, J Journal, The Hopper, Midwestern Gothic, Split Rock Review, and elsewhere. My journalism bylines include Michigan Radio and Rapid Growth Media. My nonfiction on endangered lake sturgeon was recently nominated for the Pushcart Prize.

I also have eight years of experience as a digital marketer and content writer. I help large and small organizations—from Anheuser-Busch to exciting local businesses—to improve their reach and communicate their unique visions. I am always learning and hold certifications in Google analytics, SEO and content writing.

I live in Grand Rapids, Michigan. In my spare time, I love to wander Blandford Nature Center with my four-year-old son and hang out with my husband at The Meanwhile.
